The San Joaquin Valley is the premium growing area for table grapes, citrus and other major fruits and vegetables located in the heart of California. The San Joaquin Valley lies between the state’s coastal mountain ranges and the Sierra Nevada. Referred to as “the nation’s fruit bowl,” estimates indicate 25% of the United States agricultural production comes from California with the vast majority located in the San Joaquin Valley. The San Joaquin’s climate and soil create the perfect conditions for growing high quality fruit. With the Valley’s cold winters and hot dry summers, table grapes and citrus receive the chill hours and sunny days they need to produce great tasting fruit. Another unique quality of the San Joaquin Valley is the vast water supply from two huge reservoir and canal systems that bring water from the Sierras to our farms.
Growing citrus and table grapes is a year-round effort with pruning in the winter, bloom in the spring and harvest starting in summer and continuing through fall. We are busy each month working toward bringing California citrus and table grapes to your home.
